Booking Artemis is simple. On the one hand, get in touch with me! I can be contacted through the ARTEMIS BVI Facebook page (there is a What’s App button) unless you have my details directly, or you can reach out to the boat managers Sail TMM.
You’ll need to demonstrate some sailing competence.
While handling Artemis is relatively simple for the size of boat she is, she is still a 26ft wide, 46ft long vessel displacing about 17.5 tons. It’s a little bit like sailing a tennis court around the sea. Some experience is necessary!
First step would be to fill out your sailing resume. Here is a link for this. Once we get your resume we’ll let you know if you are good to go, or if should consider taking a skipper even for a day or 2 at the start of the holiday to get checked out. This really is a good plan if you haven’t been on the water in a while. Of course you can also book a skipper for the whole week and just enjoy the ride.
Then confirm your dates. Agree all that with your crew and send in your deposit. The published cost of the charter is the main element of the cost, but expect to pay a few extra smaller costs for cruising permits, taxes and the like, and there is an insurance fee.
Then you are all set. Let us know how you will be getting to Tortola - there are a few different ways. Once we know we can send a car to pick you up and get you to the marina. Then the fun can begin.
Painkillers anyone?
